  Multiple Enable Inputs:The 74HC138D,653 provides three enable inputs(E1,E2,and E3),where each output is high when E1 and E2 are low and E3 is high.This feature allows the device to be easily expanded to a 1-to-32 line decoder using only four 74HC138 ICs and one inverter.

  Decoding and Demultiplexing:The device can function as a decoder for three binary-weighted address inputs or as a demultiplexer with 8 outputs.

  Parallel Expansion Capability:Thanks to the multi-input enable function,designers can easily expand the circuit for larger decoding tasks.

  ESD Protection:Provides electrostatic discharge(HBM)protection of over 2000V,ensuring reliability in harsh environments.

  Mutually Exclusive Outputs:The 8 outputs are independent,ensuring that only one output is low at a time for different input combinations,facilitating memory chip selection decoding.
