August 28,2024,Vishay  announced the release of a new automotive-grade bidirectional single-line ESD protection diode,the VETH100A1DD1.This diode features a compact DFN1006-2B package with a wettable flank design,optimized for automotive Ethernet networks and compliant with OPEN Alliance 100Base-T1 and 1000Base-T1 standards.It offers low clamping voltage,dynamic resistance,and capacitance,effectively protecting high-speed data lines from transient voltage signals.

　　Compared to other standard packages,the VETH100A1DD1 has a smaller footprint and lower profile.Its clamping voltage is typically 31 V at 1 A of current,with a trigger voltage greater than 100 V.Combined with a typical dynamic resistance of 0.4Ω,this protection diode delivers superior ESD absorption and protection.Additionally,the diode has a maximum capacitance of just 2 pF,ensuring higher signal integrity.
