On 25 March, Vishay's Specialty Films Division announced that its IGBR series of back-contact wireable gate resistors from its EFI Warwick facility has been successfully certified to the IATF 16949:2016 quality standard. This achievement means that the product fully meets the global specifications and quality management requirements of the automotive industry.

The IATF 16949:2016 standard builds on the cornerstone of ISO 9001:2015 while incorporating the specific needs of automotive customers. This certification not only takes the quality management system at EFI's Warwick facility to the next level, achieving both ISO 9001:2015 certification for all products and IATF 16949:2016 certification for IGBR resistors. In addition, the facility's environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

This certification strengthens the competitiveness of Vishay's IGBR product line in the automotive market and demonstrates Vishay's dedication to product quality and environmental stewardship.
